DESCRIPTION:Victoria Autism Family Event- Trains at Heritage Acres \nCome explore Heritage Acres\, meet other families with autistic children\, go for a ride on the train and grab a hot dog for lunch. \nMust register on Eventbrite to reserve a train time for your child. \nVancouver Island Model Engineers (VIME) operates a mini railway\, located in the Saanich Historical Artifacts Society (Heritage Acres). They have generously agreed to host Victoria Autism family members for a family get-together on May 30th\, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. \nDon’t forget your sunscreen\, hats\, water\, and anything else you need to stay safe in the sun. \nFor directions or more information about VIME\, you can check out their website here. \nPlease note that this event is for immediate families that are supporting a child who is 18 or younger and has autism. Train priority will be given to those with a registered ticket time. One caregiver can ride with each autistic child. Space may be limited to ensure safety for everyone\, as volunteers run the trains and only have a certain amount of capacity.
