DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, April 30th\, at John Dean Provincial Park in Saanich. If we meet at 1:30 it will be after the lunch time rush and hopefully parking won’t be so bad. There is a nice hike to a viewpoint up Mount Newton. It should be a good hikefor all ages and I think it should be “rain or shine”. But let’s hope for shine. \nWe’ll meet at the sign in the parking lot – it’s a standard BC Parks sign telling users about the park. There’s not a lot of parking right there\, but there is parking on the side of the road leading up to the parking lot. \nPlease register so that we can email you as required.

DESCRIPTION:Come meet other families with Autism and enjoy the scenic Coast Trail at East Sooke Park with views of the Olympic Mountains and Petroglyphs on the rocks. Fall is a good time to see turkey vultures and other large birds. Hike will be up to 4 km over easy to moderate terrain (rocks\, tree roots\, mud)\, and led by a volunteer board member. \nA parent or support person must accompany child. Parents are responsible for their children. \nPlease wear athletic or running shoes\, pack water and snacks\, and dress for the weather\, as it can be cool and windy on the coast. \nMeeting place: https://goo.gl/maps/V8YR7iQ2eP62  \nPlease note: it is a 45-minute to 1 hour drive from downtown Victoria.
